West Kentucky Allied Services, Inc. has released their March-April 2026 newsletter, and there’s a lot happening! WKAS is expanding their transportation program, with services expected to launch by end of April — starting with Medicaid trips in Graves County and growing from there. This issue also spotlights their partnership with Camp Graves, which provides temporary housing and support services for male Veterans in the Mayfield area.
On the assistance front, LIHEAP Spring Subsidy (electric only) opens April 20th and runs through May 22nd — eligible households at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are encouraged to apply. There are also scholarship opportunities available for students attending Kentucky colleges or trade schools, weatherization tips to protect your home this spring, and volunteer opportunities with the Kentucky Senior Medicare Patrol.
WKAS is also hiring! They’re currently looking for part-time drivers, a Transportation Coordinator, and a Community Services Director to join their growing team.
